Michelle Elliott scored 14 of her game-high 17 points in the second half and the Gonzaga Bulldogs (11-6, 2-0) rolled to an 81-65 win over the visiting Loyola Marymount Lions (9-8, 1-1) in West Coast Conference women’s basketball play Saturday.

Courtney Vandersloot added 14 points for Gonzaga, while Janelle Bekkering came off the bench to score 12.

•Nina Earl and Lindsey Pluimer combined to score 33 points and the UCLA Bruins (9-8, 4-2) rolled to a 76-56 win over the Washington State Cougars (3-13, 0-5) in Pac-10 play in Pullman. Jasmine Williams scored 11 to pace the Cougars.

•Sara Tuomi totaled 19 points and former University High standout Tonya Schnibbe tied a school record with seven steals to lead the Weber State Wildcats (7-8, 1-2) to a 68-49 win over the Eastern Washington Eagles (3-14, 0-4) in Big Sky Conference play in Cheney. Tatjana Sparavalo led the Eagles with 16 points.

The Eagles are missing Katy Baker and Kyla Evans and down to eight active players. Baker tore both her anterior cruciate ligament and her lateral meniscus and will miss the rest of the season, while Evans was out today with a foot injury. The two are leading the team in points per game.

•Natalie Orrell and Cassie Snyder combined to score 25 points to lead the Whitworth Pirates (8-5, 3-1) to a 66-53 win over the visiting Pacific Boxers (2-10, 1-3) in Northwest Conference play.

•Tierre Wilson scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Fresno State Bulldogs (8-8, 3-0 WAC) to a 68-59 win over the Idaho Vandals (1-14, 0-3) in Moscow. Katie Madison topped Idaho with 19 points.

•Ashlee Michelson tossed in 14 points to lead the CC Spokane Sasquatch (12-3, 3-0) to a 66-53 win over the visiting Yakima Valley Yaks (13-3, 2-1) in NWAACC action.

•Shaneya Valdez had 17 points and 12 of 13 North Idaho players scored as the Cardinals (13-3, 2-0) romped to a 103-36 win over the Colorado Northwestern Spartans (0-13, 0-2) in SWAC play in Coeur d’Alene.
