U-Hi picks up slim win in gym
Freshman Kaleigh Campbell won the all-around and uneven bars to guide University to a slim victory over Mead, Shadle Park and Lakeside in a Greater Spokane League gymnastics meet Friday at University.
Mead took second, followed by Shadle Park and Lakeside.
Elsewhere in the GSL, Karina Caprez won the all-around, bars and vault to lead Ferris past visiting Lewis and Clark. Kirstie Dominquez won the beam for LC’s Tigers.
Hockey
Graham Prowler scored a hat trick to lead Beaver Valley (25-10) to a 9-4 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League win over Spokane at Fruitvale, British Columbia.
Jake Walsh scored twice to lead the Braves (17-20).
Football
Offensive lineman Palauni Ma Sun has been added to the Spokane Shock’s af2 roster.
Ma Sun spent two years playing left guard for the University of Oregon, where he started 22 games during the 2005-06 seasons.
