Pluimer leads UCLA over UW
Lindsey Pluimer tied a season-high with 19 points, including three clinching free throws in the final minute, to help UCLA beat Washington 75-68 Sunday at Los Angeles.
The Bruins (13-11, 8-5 Pac-10) jumped to a 22-point first-half lead, but the Huskies opened the second half on a 14-4 run to narrow the gap to six.
Sami Whitcomb had a career-high 27 points for the Huskies (9-15, 4-8). Her 3-pointer with 1:32 left brought the Huskies to within 3 at 70-67.
