Simpson now a domestic diva

It was an all-Texas team-tag match when Jessica Simpson and sister Ashlee Simpson gathered at the Waco, Texas, home of their maternal grandmother.

According to both E!Online and the Waco Tribune-Herald, the Simpson sisters were joined by their intimates. Ashlee was accompanied by her husband, rocker Pete Wentz, and their baby, month-old Bronx Mowgli Wentz.

Jessica, meanwhile, had Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo in tow.

This, of course, was the same Jessica who revealed recently that she – not sissie Ashlee – is quickly becoming a junior Martha Stewart.

“My personality is now more stay-at-home,” Simpson said. “Right now I’m doing the Christmas tree and everything.”

And what is her favorite domestic chore?

“Believe it or not, I like to bake pies,” Simpson said. “Tony’s favorite is pumpkin pie, and I haven’t mastered that yet.”

Lohan up close and personal

For all her celebrity, Lindsay Lohan is certainly part of her generation. The 22-year-old actress wrote a blog post on MySpace about intimate family history: “My father (Michael Lohan) just let my family and i know, amongst others that he had another child after my little sister Aliana, or maybe he had it before Aliana?? either way, he cheated on my mother and that really (stinks).”

This follows a June report in OK! magazine that a woman claims her 13-year-old daughter came courtesy of Lohan’s dad.

Drug lord admired The King

According to his memoir “The Accountant’s Story,” Roberto Escobar claims that his brother, the late drug lord Pablo Escobar, was a big Elvis Presley fan. In the book, which was excerpted in the New York Post, Roberto says his brother was an amateur Elvis impersonator who liked to shout out, “Look at me, Colombian Elvis!”

What was hanging on Hugh Hefner’s Christmas tree? A card picturing the 82-yeard-old publisher bookended by topless twins Karissa and Kirstina Shannon, 19, sporting pink-purple body paint splashed across their chests bearing “Hef” in white.

DoSomething.org replaced Oprah Winfrey in the top spot of its annual rankings of celebrities who inspire people 25 and under. New No. 1, President-elect Barack Obama, was followed by Winfrey and, in order, Angelina Jolie, Ellen DeGeneres, Brad Pitt, Al Gore, Lance Armstrong, Michelle Obama, Bono and Michael J. Fox.
