ID: Jacob Butcher is no longer just a man, it’s a band.

Style: Folk rockin’ blues

Roster: Guitarist, harmonica player, and lead singer Butcher; violist and vocalist Kim Wescott; drummer Ian Reeves, keyboardist Morgan Lynch, and violinist Rajah Bose, who is a photographer for The Spokesman-Review.

Lyrics: Lately I’ve been kind of in a storytelling kind of thing. Traditionally I’ve been like a self-expression – like talking about my own personal experiences and how I feel about them. But lately it’s been lots of storytelling. I’ve been listening to a lot of folk music, the side of folk that tells stories … I’ve been kind of on a little bit of a fairytale kick…”

“You might substitute it for ‘I love Patrick Kendrick ’ ”: “I love Karli Fairbanks. I think she’s absolutely stunningly beautiful, she’s got an amazing voice, amazing songwriting talents, a great ear for what sounds good – when she pieces the band together it’s perfect, every person in there is doing the exact right thing,” Butcher said. “Platform Booking is where it’s at.”

What happens after 777?: The “Paper Moon” show happens tonight at 8 p.m. at Caterina Winery, 905 N. Washington St., with support from Kim Wescott, Rajah Bose and Kurt Olson. Cover is $5.
