Adrian Tarkington scored from 25 yards out on a shot that hit the crossbar and bounced down and in four minutes into the match to set the stage for Mead’s 3-1 Greater Spokane League win over Shadle Park. Mead lost a shutout to an own goal credited to Shadle at 74 minutes.

“C.J. Hansen scored the game’s first goal at nine minutes and assisted on the second 16 minutes later to lead West Valley to a 3-1 win over visiting Colville in a Great Northern League makeup. Joe Buchanan had two assists for WV. Tyler Johnson scored for Colville.

Postponements

Four Greater Spokane League softball games were victims of the weather and were rescheduled for next Monday at 4 p.m. at the same sites – Mt. Spokane at Shadle Park, East Valley-Lewis and Clark at Hart Field, Ferris at University and Central Valley at Gonzaga Prep.

“Inland Empire League baseball and softball games between Lakeland and Coeur d’Alene were rained out. The softball game will be made up Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Lakeland. No makeup date was announced for baseball.
