Valley Chapel rezone sought

The Spokane County hearing examiner has scheduled a public hearing for Sept. 12 on a zone change request for 120 acres at the southeast corner of Valley Chapel and Stoughton roads.

The request calls for changing the zoning from large-tract to small-tract agriculture, which would allow for subdivision into 10-acre lots. County assessor records show the owner is Craftsman Homes Northwest Inc. of Spokane Valley.

The hearing is set for 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Assembly Room in the lower level of the Spokane County Public Works Building. For more information on the proposal, contact Bill Moser at the county planning staff at 477-7154.
