Feature creature: Sonny
Sonny is starting his second summer in the shelter. His family brought him to the Humane Society last August when they moved and couldn’t take him along. The family wrote a wonderful note about Sonny, and it was probably just as sad for them as it was for Sonny. They described this handsome dog as a “phenomenal Frisbee player,” alert to strangers near the house, but not an excessive barker. He easily shared his house with cats and was a little nervous around small children. Sonny has been temperament tested and found to be a great dog for first-time dog owners. He is a little rough and tumble in his play, so older children would be best. He went to puppy kindergarten when he was younger and knows “sit”, “down” and “heel.” Come and meet Sonny at the Humane Society of Spokane, 6607 N Havana St. The telephone number is 467-5235. Adoption fees are $95.00 and include neuter, vaccinations, microchip and vet check. The Humane Society is open seven days a week.
