Edgecliff SCOPE – Volunteers discussed their participation in today’s Lilac Parade. There was also a discussion on the closure of Pratt Elementary and keeping the gym open to be the safe haven required for the federal Weed and Seed grants. New officers were nominated. (Source: President Bill Dory)
Fairfield City Council – Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich spoke about Crime Check and the jail. The water line replacement project is nearly complete. An Arbor Day celebration is planned for the fall. Council members voted to spray for mosquitoes this year. Bids will be solicited soon to repair the community center roof. The town also is looking for a new attorney. (Source: Town clerk Shelly Wood)
Rockford City Council – There was a public hearing on the comprehensive plan update. The town will pursue a grant for the town’s water reservoir. A town hall meeting with Commissioner Mark Richard is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Fairfield Community Center. (Source: Town clerk)
