Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Heloise: I rescued my cat Lola from the garden center at a home-improvement store. One of the clerks at the store said that her two litter mates had been rescued the previous week.

Lola has grown from a tiny, starving kitten to a beautiful tortoiseshell cat. At first, I was concerned that she would be too wild to tame. But she has adapted well – or should I say that she has us trained. – Judy Week, via e-mail

Lola is one lucky and smart cat. Many times, these pets turn out to be so sweet! Think they know they have it good? – Heloise

Dear Heloise: Anyone who has a fish aquarium knows that it does require some work to keep it looking its best. Most people use certain cleaning tools that make cleaning easier. I have placed these into an extra tote bag. I wrote on the outside “aquarium supplies.” Now, everything is kept in one place, and it makes the cleanup just that much easier. – Casey in Roanoke, Va.
