Feature creature: Tikky

Kim Lytle Correspondent The Spokesman-Review

Don’t let the distinguishing gray marking on her face and her quiet demeanor in the kennel fool you. This girl has the enthusiasm for life of a puppy, and she is a snuggler.

Tikky has been at the shelter since the end of March, when her human family of seven years had to move and couldn’t take her, too.

Tikky hasn’t been temperament-tested, but she is friendly and playful in the yard. Her previous owners describe her as easygoing, and she has been around children ages infant to 9 years.

The family spent some time on her training. She is house-trained, knows how to sit and comes when called.

If you are looking for a well-adjusted dog with no known bad habits that immediately would fit into your family, visit Tikky at the Humane Society of Spokane.

She has been sponsored, so her adoption fee is $25 off the regular price. Her fee is $70 and includes spaying, rabies vaccination, microchip and veterinarian check.

The Humane Society is at 6607 N. Havana St. Its telephone number is 467-5235.
