Valley Fire – Commissioners heard a report on 2006 expenditures, with gas expenses significantly higher than expected. Spokane County is changing banks, which will require the district to make several changes. Commissioners passed a motion to request more time to make the changes.

The district’s calls for service are up 13 percent over this time last year. Commissioners approved the job description for a 12-week intern to be hired this summer in the Information Systems Department. An executive session was held to discuss property acquisition and litigation, after which commissioners voted to purchase 200 feet of frontage on Country Vista Drive and to negotiate a settlement on a property claim.
