Feature creature: Chandler

This Akita male dog celebrated his one-year anniversary at the shelter in March. He was adopted once but returned after a month because he escaped out of their 4-foot fence.

Chandler is active but mellow and playful. He is a little independent, but Chandler had two or more different homes, according to his previous owner, so maybe he just doesn’t want to get his hopes up when people come to meet him.

Chandler has been temperament tested and found to be OK with cats and kids. He might do best in a home as an only dog or with a canine friend that treats him like the royalty he is.
