Bonnie Phillips

Spokane

Bonnie Phillips celebrated her 100th birthday June 17. She was born June 17, 1907, in Milwaukee. She’s been a resident of Spokane for 89 years.

Phillips married her husband, Michael, in 1930. He died in 1972.

Phillips was a teacher and also was the owner of Bonnie’s Bakitchen.

She attributes a long and healthy life to eating a lot of fruits and vegetables and not a lot of meat. Phillips also says exercising, swimming and finding something positive to say helps, too.

She says the most memorable moment in her life was her 100th birthday party which included friends and family from the United States and Canada.
