Certainly Buddhism has both a social and a solitary quality. But can it be delivered through your eardrums by podcast?

It wouldn’t be surprising if there are a half-dozen similar low-profile podcasts out there on practicing Buddhism. This is the one we tend to favor, as the producer, New York-based Ethan Nichtern, does an excellent job summarizing Buddhism in a modern context.

His weekly podcasts are often the recorded version of a weekly address he makes to a group of students at his gathering place.

Episodes typically run close to an hour. The three most recent topics were Discipline and Being Too Busy to Practice, Discipline and Laziness, and The Big Why: What Is My Intention?
