Name: Donald Reese

Age: 75

Hometown: I was born in Echo, Ore., but I’ve worked in Montana, Alaska, Oregon, Washington and Idaho.

Occupation: I’m a retired Lutheran minister, but I work as an interim pastor, filling in where needed. Most recently, I’ve been at Trinity Lutheran Church in Coeur d’Alene.

Family: My first wife died of cancer in 1994, and I’ve been married to Keva for the past eight years. I have four sons, eight grandsons and one granddaughter. Keva has two sons and two daughters, plus two grandsons and three granddaughters.

Hobbies: I do a lot of reading and writing, and I really enjoy walking. We have a cabin on the Oregon Coast where I enjoy beachcombing.

What do you like about North Idaho? I love the wildness here, but unfortunately it’s going away. For now though, we enjoy the deer and wild turkeys that we still have in our neighborhood.

What do you like or dislike about the current season? As I get older, I don’t care much for cold weather.

Favorite music: Swing and jazz. Peggy Lee is my favorite singer.

Favorite TV show: “House”

Favorite movie: “The Man Who Would be King”

Favorite spot in North Idaho? Why? We have a cabin at Priest Lake, too, and it’s the most wonderful spot in the summer that I can imagine.
