Essay contest to focus on German Russian culture

The Germans from Russia Heritage Society is sponsoring a youth essay contest.

Purpose of the contest is to encourage students to learn about the history of the German Russian ethnic group, according to a press release.

Winners will be chosen in middle school, high school and college undergraduate categories. Scholarship and cash rewards up to $750 will be awarded to the winning entries.

Entries must be postmarked by March 31. Contest information and entry forms can be downloaded on the youth program pages at the GRHS Web site www.grhs.com.
