Prep basketball: Colville edges Kettle Falls in OT

Alias Prouty scored 20 points to lead the Colville boys to an 85-77 overtime win over Kettle Falls in a non-league game Thursday in Colville.

Gavin Earnhart and Michael Prouty added 13 points apiece for the Indians (5-1), who outscored the Bulldogs 14-6 in the overtime period.

After trailing by 11 at the half, Kettle Falls outscored Colville 22-11 in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs’ Shelby Hite hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime.

Lucas Fox had a game-high 23 points, Cody McBride added 18 and Hite finished with 16 for KF (3-3).

Elsewhere, Ryan Winebark scored a game-high 29 points to guide Bonners Ferry past host Chewelah 69-62. Casey Langford had 16 points and A.J. Bennett added 15 for the Badgers (4-4). Forest Trampush had 16 points and Mike Naccarato and Marquis Woods added 15 apiece for the Cougars (2-4). … Colfax came alive in the second half and beat host St. John-Endicott 51-34. Sylas Rohner had 15 points, Ryan Hamilton chipped in 13 and Levi Ellis added 12 for the Bulldogs (6-2), who outscored the Eagles 20-9 in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Wyatt Sitton had 13 points and Ethan White tossed in 11 to lead SJE (4-3). … A.J. Sandford scored 18 points and A.J. Therien added 12 to lead Pullman to a 50-37 win over host Moscow. The Greyhounds (4-1) took control in the second half, outscoring the Bears 30-20. Anthony Williams led Moscow (3-4) with 12 points. … Malcolm Colbert had 15 points and Shawn Reid and Justin Carter added 13 apiece as Post Falls topped visiting Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 61-47. The Trojans (3-7) outscored the Eagles 15-5 in the second quarter and led 29-13 at the half. Leif Parcell had 14 points and Brady Blankevoort added 12 for Lakeside (0-7). … Zach St. John scored 17 points and Jim Maley added 14 as Rosalia (5-2) defeated host Davenport 59-37. “Liberty took control in the fourth quarter and beat Valley Christian 52-32 in a Bi-County League game in Liberty. Trevor Anderson tallied 18 points and Chris Bentley and Lane Salsbury added 11 apiece for the Lancers (4-4, 4-2), who outscored the Panthers 18-5 in the fourth. Jeff Pope led Valley Christian (1-8, 0-7) with 16 points.

Cody Flett scored 25 points and Chey Swift added 16 as Wellpinit defeated Inchelium 81-52 in a Panorama League game at Inchelium. Cody Stensgar tossed in 14 points and T.J. Flett added eight points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Redskins (6-2, 4-1), who outscored the Hornets 49-27 in the second half to put the game away. Donny Carson had a game-high 27 points and Tony Louie chipped in 13 for Inchelium (1-7, 1-5). … In other league games, Aaron Hein tallied a game-high 18 points and Tyler Knight and Trevor Johnson added 10 apiece as St. Michael’s (3-5, 3-3) beat visiting Republic 62-40. Jesse Beck led the Tigers (0-7, 0-6) with 10 points. … Joel Kohlstedt tossed in a game-high 25 points and Ryan Presho added 16 as Springdale defeated visiting Columbia 60-45. Ed Wolfe scored 19 points and Matt Pleasants added 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead host Lake Roosevelt to a 68-37 Caribou Trail League win over Tonasket in Coulee Dam. Coby Dick added 11 assists for the Raiders.

Kama Griffitts led four players in double figures with 13 points and Coeur d’Alene remained undefeated after a 71-32 Inland Empire League win over Lakeland in Rathdrum. Whitney Heleker had 12 points and Carli Rosenthal and Dyna Drager added 10 points apiece for the Vikings (10-0, 6-0), who built a 36-15 lead at the half. Ali Whitted led the Hawks (1-9, 0-4) with 10 points.

Kelly Hennessey had 13 points and 11 steals to guide Liberty to a 52-21 victory over Valley Christian (0-9, 0-7) in a Bi-County League game at Liberty. Taz Brooks and Sam Jennen added eight points apiece for the Lancers (4-4, 4-2), who outscored the Panthers 15-2 in the second quarter and led 25-5 at the half.

Niquie Ali scored a game-high 25 points and Shelby LeBret added 23 as Wellpinit beat Inchelium 59-53 in a Panorama League game at Inchelium. The Redskins (1-7, 1-4) took control in the second quarter, outscoring the Hornets 19-8. Chelsea Brisbois and Jessica Coots each had seven points to lead Kettle Falls (3-3), which was outrebounded 35-20. … Almira/Coulee-Hartline came alive in the second half and breezed past visiting Sprague-Harrington 46-28. Sarah Gloyn scored a game-high 13 points and Nikki Osborne added 11 for the Warriors (2-3). ACH outscored the Falcons 23-8 in the third quarter after trailing by two points at the half.
