Three Eagles make AP team
Sophomore wide receiver Aaron Boyce, junior defensive end Greg Peach and senior offensive guard Matt Alfred were named to the Associated Press NCAA Football Championship Subdivision All-America team.
Boyce was selected to the second team after catching 85 passes (second in school history) for 1,308 yards (fourth) and 10 touchdowns (eighth). The Kentwood (Wash.) High graduate ranked sixth in FCS in receiving yards per game (100.6) and was 14th in receptions (6.5).
Peach was 11th in FCS in sacks (0.85 per game) with a total of 11 that ranks as the fifth-best performance in school history. Alfred, a four-time All-Big Sky Conference selection from Gig Harbor, Wash., closed his career with 46 straight starts.

Wayne State honors Krause
Dr. Jerry Krause, director of operations for Gonzaga University’s men’s basketball team and a 1959 graduate of Wayne State College, is the recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award to be presented this weekend at the 2007 Winter Commencement.
Krause will receive his award Friday from Wayne State President Richard J. Collings.
Krause had a 17-year career as head coach at Eastern Washington University, posting a 262-196 record for a .572 winning percentage. He was inducted into the EWU Athletic Hall of Fame on Oct. 1, 2005.

Shock add two more
Wide receiver Andy Olson and defensive back Kyle Whitehurst have been added to the Spokane Shock roster.
Olson, the all-time receptions leader at Western Washington University, spent six weeks on the AFL’s Georgia Force practice squad in 2007.
Whitehurst played at Hampton University, making all-league in 2005.
