Brink earns Pac-10 honor
Alex Brink was named Pac-10 offensive player of the week Monday after throwing for 405 yards against UCLA over the weekend.
The Cougar quarterback has completed 79 percent of his throws in the last two games and also threw for three touchdowns against the Bruin defense, which coming in was the top unit in the Pac-10.
Brink is the first WSU offensive player to win conference honors this season.

Gonzaga women after Tennessee
Gonzaga is negotiating with Tennessee, one of the premier women’s basketball programs in the country, for a home-and-home series, according to Gonzaga women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves.
The Bulldogs would play at Tennessee next season when University High School star Angie Bjorklund will be a freshman with the Volunteers.
Tennessee, which has won six national championships under coach Pat Summitt, would come to Spokane in December of 2008 when Angie’s sister Jami, is a senior.

McBride sidelined against Eastern
The Big Sky Conference has suspended Weber State football coach Ron McBride for publicly criticizing officials, league commissioner Doug Fullerton announced on Monday.
McBride’s suspension stems from comments he made following Weber State’s 24-18 loss to Montana State on Saturday, Oct. 28.
McBride will be suspended for Weber State’s game against Eastern Washington on Saturday.
