Sonics end losing streak
Ray Allen scored 25 points and Rashard Lewis added 23, helping the Seattle SuperSonics end a four-game exhibition losing streak with a 108-102 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night at Phoenix.
Damian Wilkins and Luke Ridnour had 11 points apiece for the Sonics and Earl Watson scored 10.
Kurt Thomas scored 20 points, his high with Phoenix, and grabbed nine rebounds.
Steve Nash, the NBA’s MVP the past two seasons, added 12 points and 11 assists for the Suns, who completed their exhibition season with a 4-4 record. The Sonics are 2-4 with two games remaining, including Thursday at the Spokane Arena against Golden State.
Bibby injures thumb
Sacramento Kings guard Mike Bibby is expected to miss the first two weeks of the regular season after injuring his right thumb in an exhibition game against New Orleans Sunday night.
