Public comment sought for Tuscan Ridge project

Public comment is being accepted in the planning department at City Hall through Friday afternoon on a 100-unit condominium project proposed for the southwest corner of 57th Avenue and Hatch Road. The Tuscan Ridge planned unit development on 25 acres is expected to go before the city hearing examiner after the public comment period closes after which a hearing date can be set. The project includes an activity center, storage area and maintenance facility.

Comments may be made to the planning department on the third floor of City Hall at 808 W. Spokane Falls Boulevard.

Leave your leaves for free

Residents of the Comstock Neighborhood may bring “clean and green” yard waste for free disposal to the Sacajawea Middle School parking lot, 401 E. 33rd Ave., between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. Examples of acceptable waste items include pine needles, leaves and other yard waste. Neighborhood boundaries include 29th to the north, Perry to the east, 57th to the south and Hatch Road and High Drive to the west. Call Ted at 747-3340 for information.

•The Rockwood Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. today at St. John’s Cathedral, 127 E. 12th Ave.

•Community Assembly Administrative Committee meeting – for all neighborhoods, 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall Sixth Floor Conference Room, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

•Community Assembly Public Safety/Code Enforcement meeting – for all neighborhoods, 5-6 p.m. Wednesday in the City Hall Fifth Floor Conference Room, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

•The Riverside Neighborhood Council will meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Downtown Public Library Room 1-A, 906 W. Main Ave.

•The Manito/Cannon Hill Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Cooper Elementary, 322 N. Ferrall St.

•Community Assembly Land Use Committee meeting – for all neighborhoods, 5 to 6 p.m. next Thursday in the City Hall Fifth Floor Conference Room, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.
