‘Bountiful Harvest’ concert at Westminster Saturday

Celtic Music Spokane is presenting “Bountiful Harvest,” a concert with the Celtic Nots Saturday at 7 p.m. at Westminster Congregational Church, 411 S. Washington St.

The concert will also feature Nancy Davis, who will play the Celtic harp.

Brian MacLeod, a Scottish folksinger who plays guitar, will also perform.

Admission is $12 and tickets will be available at the door.

“ The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., is presenting Andrea McCrady Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

McCrady, a carilloneur, will perform “Out of the Sky,” a piece written by William Berry of Whitman College.

“ The Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., is presenting “Healing Powers of Indian Music and Chanting” Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

The concert will be performed by Harre Harren who recently returned from a trip to India.

Taize service

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., is offering a Taize service Sunday as part of its “Sundays @ 7” young adult program at 7 p.m.

The service is an ecumenical one presented by St. John’s, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church and St. Ann’s Catholic Church. The core themes are that of reconciliation and peace.

“ The Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., is presenting Govinda Miller Friday at 7 p.m.

Miller will speak about how cosmic energies affect you, humanity and the world.

Hillyard Baptist Church, 2121 E. Wabash Ave., is hosting Abuse Recovery Ministry and Services Oct. 28 from noon to 2 p.m.

The group is holding a luncheon, “Lifting Up One Voice Against Abuse,” which will feature discussions about domestic abuse and support for women who have experienced it.

The deadline to register for the luncheon is Wednesday.

Sneak preview

The Unity Center of North Spokane, 4123 E. Lincoln Ave., and the Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., are presenting a sneak preview of the movie, “Conversations with God.”

The film will be screened at the north location Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.

The south location will screen the film Saturday at 4 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
