Love shares lead at Chrysler Classic
Davis Love III shot a 4-under-par 68 in rainy, cool conditions Saturday on the course he redesigned to gain a share of the lead after the third round of the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro in Greensboro, N.C.
Chris Couch, who won his first PGA Tour title in New Orleans in April, had a 69 to match Love at 10-under 206 on the Forest Oaks Country Club course. Chris Smith (69), Steve Flesch (69) and John Senden (71) were a stroke back.

“Lorena Ochoa moved closer to her first LPGA Tour victory in her homeland, shooting a 5-under 68 to maintain a three-stroke lead with one round left in the Corona Morelia Championship in Moralia, Mexico.
Paraguay’s Julieta Granada (66) was second at 13 under. First-round leader Brandie Burton (67) was 9 under, and Christina Kim (65) and Young Jo (69) were another stroke back. Eighteen-year-old Morgan Pressel (71) and Edwall, Wash., native Wendy Ward (71) were 7 under. Tracy Hanson (74) of Rathdrum finished at 218.

Lava Man wins again
Lava Man did it again, winning the $500,000 Goodwood Breeders’ Cup Handicap in Arcadia, Calif., for his fourth consecutive Grade 1 victory and seventh straight overall.
“Bernardini cruised to yet another easy victory in capturing the $750,000 Jockey Club Gold Cup in New York, one of five Grade 1 races at Belmont Park before the Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs on Nov. 4.
The overpowering victory – by 63/4 lengths – was the sixth in a row for the 3-year-old colt.

Player dies on field
A 17-year-old high school football player died shortly after collapsing during a game.
Fermin Vialpando, a 6-foot-1, 210-pound center for Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., was running down the field in the third quarter Friday night when he collapsed.
Vialpando had a heart condition, said Dawn Miller, El Paso County deputy coroner. Further tests were needed to determine the exact cause of death.
His mother, Sundae Vialpando, had told the Denver Post on Saturday that he had no known health problems.
