She still thinks it’s the pits

Actress Sienna Miller apologized Friday for disparaging Pittsburgh in a magazine interview, saying her remarks were taken out of context.

The 24-year-old Brit, who’s in town filming a screen version of the novel “The Mysteries of Pittsburgh,” called it a profane name rhyming with Pittsburgh in a Rolling Stone story.

“Can you believe this is my life?” she asked her interviewer. “Will you pity me when you’re back in your funky New York apartment and I’m still in Pittsburgh? I need to get more glamorous films and stop with my indie year.”

In a statement issued by her publicist, Miller says she was referring to the fact that the production was shooting mostly at night and she hadn’t had a chance to explore the city:

“What I have seen of it is beautiful. I came once before to visit The Andy Warhol Museum whilst researching a film and found both the city and its inhabitants warm and gracious.”

She added that her father, who is from Meadville, about 85 miles north of Pittsburgh, planned to show her around this weekend.

J.Lo to the ground?

A private jet company has sued Jennifer Lopez, saying the singer/actress is late on payments for a pair of chartered flights.

Avjet Corp. of Burbank, Calif., seeks nearly $35,000 it says is still owed for two flights on Gulfstream jets from Farmingdale, N.Y. – one to Puerto Rico and another to Burbank, Calif.

An invoice lists the passengers as Marco Muniz – the real name of her musician husband, Marc Anthony – and Lopez under the name Jennifer Muniz, along with four others.

‘Desperate’ and endangered

Eva Longoria, who plays Gabrielle Solis on “Desperate Housewives,” was taken to the hospital after an injury on the set this week.

“Eva slipped on one of the stairs coming out of her trailer,” her publicist says. “Nothing is broken, but her ribs are very bruised.”

The 31-year-old actress will not require any time off.

It’s not the first time Longoria was taken to the hospital from a “Housewives” set. In August 2005, she was hit in the head by a piece of equipment and needed emergency attention.

No stitches necessary

Legendary fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent slipped and fell Friday outside a Paris restaurant, suffering slight scratches.

Saint Laurent, who turned 70 in August, was resting at home after his fall.

Better skip breakfast

Natalie Portman, often called the modern-day Audrey Hepburn, takes that a step further on an upcoming Harper’s Bazaar magazine cover.

The 25-year-old actress sports the iconic black column dress worn by Hepburn in 1961’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”

“I was so nervous that I wasn’t going to fit,” Portman says. “Everyone kept telling me how small it was, and I’m not the type who can starve myself. I’m small, but it’s not like I’m see-through.”
