Teen’s bicycle stolen out from under him

The Spokesman-Review

Somebody pushed a 13-year-old Spokane Valley boy off his bicycle Monday evening and stole the $600 ride.

The boy told Spokane Valley Police he was riding near Fourth Avenue and McDonald Road about 4:20 p.m. when he passed three older teens, two on bicycles and one on foot, said Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

The teen on foot came up behind the victim after he passed and pushed the victim on the ground, stealing the bicycle and joining his friends as they set out north on McDonald.

The stolen bicycle was a Specialized brand, black with silver lettering. The suspect was described as being between 15 and 18 year old. All were wearing jeans and hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up.

Anyone with information is asked to call 242-TIPS.
