McCourt writing Christmas book

Frank McCourt, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “Angela’s Ashes,” is writing a Christmas book, “Angela and the Baby Jesus,” scheduled to come out in fall 2007 in children’s and adult editions.

According to Simon & Schuster, the book will be set in Ireland around the turn of the 20th century and will be based on a story from the childhood of his mother, Angela, concerning “the baby Jesus on the altar” of a local church near the family home in Limerick.
