Patrice Bergeron scored 34 seconds into overtime Thursday night to lift the Boston Bruins to their third consecutive victory, a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at Boston.

Bergeron scored on a rebound of Brad Boyes’ drive from the point, putting the puck past helpless Toronto goalie Jean-Sebastien Aubin.

Panthers 5, Canadiens 1: At Sunrise, Fla., Olli Jokinen scored three goals for his second career hat trick and Florida beat Montreal.

Wild 7, Predators 6 (SO): At Nashville, Tenn., Brian Rolston’s shootout goal was the difference in Minnesota’s victory over the Predators.

Coyotes 3, Blackhawks 2 (SO): At Glendale, Ariz., Yanic Perrault and Ladislav Nagy scored in the shootout and Curtis Joseph stopped two of three shots in the tiebreaker in Phoenix’s victory over Chicago.

Oilers 6, Blues 2: At Edmonton, Alberta, Marc-Andre Bergeron scored his first two goals of the season and Ales Hemsky tied a career high with three assists as the Oilers started a seven-game homestand with a win against St. Louis.

Flyers 4, Kings 3: At Los Angeles, R.J. Umberger scored the tying and go-ahead goals 2 1/2 minutes apart, capping a three-goal rally in the third period and lifting Philadelphia to a victory over Los Angeles.
