Liberty Lake
Growth-concerned group to meet
Some residents in and around Liberty Lake are meeting Thursday to discuss the city’s attempts to grow.
Community Against Urban Sprawl Everywhere is meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Liberty Lake Sewer and Water Building.
Organizer Steve Shirley said the group is a grass-roots organization that will be looking at the city of Liberty Lake’s attempts to expand the Urban Growth Area boundaries.
The organization placed an insert into the Liberty Lake Splash community newspaper this week, titled “Sprawl Costs Us All.” The flyer tells citizens that they can help let the “government know to hold the line on development and stop this urban sprawl.”
For more information, call Steve Shirley at 255-9410.
