Lewis and Clark is well-represented in the State 4A tennis tournament.

Elise Otto and Ben Gullickson each won two matches Friday to earn semifinal berths at the Vancouver Tennis Center.

Otto easily dispatched Bellarmine Prep’s Neil Shonnard 6-0, 6-1 in the first round, then handled Vaiana Guittet of Redmond 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Otto will play Olympia’s Stefanie Doolittle today at 8:30 a.m.

On the boys’ side, Gullickson beat Paul Namkoong of Bellarmine Prep 6-4, 6-1 in the first round before crushing Clayton Shaw of Cascade 6-0, 6-1. Gullickson will take on Brad Bator of Inglemoor today at 8:30 a.m.

In other 4A girls action, Katie Griffith of Ferris went 2-1, losing her first-round match but rebounding for two loser-out wins. She’ll play Natalia Agarycheva of Prairie at 10 a.m. today in a loser-out match. … In 4A girls doubles action, Britta Stime and Katrina Schwab of Mead lost their first-round match, but came back to win twice in loser-out matches. They’ll play today against Erika Wilczek and Nicole Sager of Bellarmine Prep in a loser-out match at 10 a.m. … In other 4A boys action, Ferris’ Whitman Hough rebounded from a first-round defeat to win a pair of loser-out matches. Hough will play Daniel Lee of Curtis in a loser-out match today at 10 a.m. … In 4A boys doubles, Nick Johnson and Chris Martin of Lewis and Clark lost in the first round but bounced back to win two loser-out matches. They’ll play Abraham Allison and Beter-Aron Shimeles of Garfield in a loser-out match today at 10 a.m.

State 3A tournament: At Seattle, Jessica Casebier of East Valley lost twice, the second in a loser-out match to Ada Cohen of Burlington-Edison, 7-6, 6-3. … In doubles action, North Central’s Devan Lockhert and Nicholle Johnston lost their first-round match, rebounded to win a first loser-out match, but fell to Stacia Bibler and Staci Strantton of Sequim 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-2 in a loser-out contest.

State 2A tournament: At Yakima, Medical Lake’s Max Nelson lost in the first round but recovered to earn a win and a spot in today’s fourth-place match at 9 a.m. against Ben Shelton of Vashon. Shelton beat Pullman’s Kiran Poovaiah 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 in a loser-out match to reach the fourth-place matchup. … Medical Lake’s Noi Moroni and Dallon Bogart lost early but recovered to make today’s fourth-place match with Phil Andersson and Dan Hornung of Klahowya at 10 a.m.

1A/B tournament: At Yakima, Matt Jackson of St. George’s lost early but rebounded to earn a spot in a 9 a.m. showdown with Bobby Seidensticker of Overlake today for fourth place. Sam King of St. George’s lost twice, the second in a loser-out match. … In boys doubles, Danny Mathews and Andy Nonnenmacher of Freeman went 1-1 to earn a spot in the fourth-place match today at 9 a.m.… In girls singles, Davenport’s Mallory Mielke went 1-1 and earned a spot in today’s fourth-place match at 9 a.m. against Christine Leilabadi of Forest Ridge. St. George’s Soon Lee lost twice, the second in a loser-out match. … In girls doubles, Jamie Larmer and Lauren Stromberger of Sprague-Harrington went 1-1 and will battle today for third place in a 9 a.m. showdown with Danielle and Alexis Monetta of Liberty Bell. Bree Riddle and Rebekah Stranberg of Freeman lost twice, the second in a loser-out match.

Softball

State 2A tournament: At Wenatchee, Colville won twice, knocking off Montesano in the opening round 7-3 then holding on for a 6-5 victory over Nooksack Valley in the quarterfinals. The Indians (19-0) will take on Hoquiam in the semifinals today at 10 a.m. … Medical Lake fell in the opening round to Chimacum 3-1 before bouncing back to beat Ridgefield 3-2 and upend Orting 6-5. The Cardinals (20-7) will play Nooksack Valley today at 10 a.m. in a loser-out game.

State 1A tournament: At Moses Lake, Colfax fell to Cedar Park Christian 4-1in the first round. The Bulldogs (16-8) then beat Riverview 7-1. Colfax plays at 10 a.m. today. … Freeman got a complete game from Lauren Nooner in a 5-1 win over Cle Elum in first-round action. In the second round, the Scotties (14-10) fell to Cascade Christian 2-1. Freeman plays at 10 a.m. in a loser-out game.

State B tournament: At Yakima, Melissa Dick went 1 for 2 with a homer, two runs scored and three RBIs as Inchelium beat DeSales 4-1 in the first round. The Hornets (23-2) then took down Orcas 6-3 in the quarters. Inchelium will play Toutle Lake today in the semis at noon. … Selkirk fell to Entiat 10-0 before beating Evergreen Lutheran 4-2 in a loser-out game. The Rangers (19-8) will play Orcas today at 10 a.m. in a loser-out game. … Davenport trounced Quilcene in the first round 10-2 but fell to Morton 9-2 in the quarterfinals. The Gorillas (23-6) will take on Colton today at 10 a.m. in a loser-out game. … Colton (19-3) fell to Toutle Lake 10-0 in the first round then beat Odessa 14-8 in a loser-out game. … Odessa (24-5) fell to Sunnyside Christian 8-3 in the first round.
