CYT presents ‘Seussical’

The Christian Youth Theater is staging “Seussical the Musical” on Friday, Saturday and June 2 and 3 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and June 3 at 3 p.m. at The Met, 901 W. Sprague Ave.

Hosting the play is the one and only Cat in the Hat.

Tickets are $7 for kids 12 and younger and $8 for adults. The 3 p.m. Saturday performance is discounted to $5 for all seats, and there are special group and senior rates available for all performances.

‘Galloping Contemplative’

The Spiritus Center for Spirituality is presenting the Rev. Philip Roderick on Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Paulsen House Garden Center, 245 E. 14th Ave., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave.

Roderick is known as the “Galloping Contemplative” and is the founder of the Quiet Garden Movement.

His talk Friday will discuss the Quiet Garden Movement, and on Saturday, Roderick will discuss the Contemplative Fire Project.

The cost Friday is $25 and includes wine and appetizers. Admission to Saturday’s workshop is $35 and includes lunch.

Summer worship schedule

Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 2733 W. Northwest Blvd., has announced its new summer worship schedule.

Beginning Sunday, worship will begin at 9 a.m., and Bible class and Sunday school will begin at 10:30 a.m. The summer schedule will be in place until Sept. 3.
