Finding a good REALTOR® key to home deals
Whether you are looking for a REALTOR® to help you find a home to purchase or to sell the home you have, you can easily find one of these experts who can help you fulfill your objectives.
A REALTOR® can save you time as he or she can guide you through the process of buying or selling. Choosing one of these experts is no different than selecting any professional to help you through the many steps that end in a successful sale or purchase.
To find one of these guides to help you through the various steps that legally must be done, ask for a recommendation from people you know who have recently purchased or sold a home.
Follow up with that recommendation and call that REALTOR® and get acquainted. How long have they been in real estate sales? Do you get along with this REALTOR®? What is his or her sales record? These are some of the questions that will generally tell you whether you have a dynamite sales person. Referrals from a friend can go a long way toward turning you in the right direction.
The most important factor in hiring an agent is that you and the agent work well together. Most sales go well between buyer and seller. Some may not. That’s why it is a good idea to have an expert in your corner if there is a problem to be solved.
Check the Real Estate section of The Spokesman-Review and other publications that are free at grocery stores all around the city. If you find someone of interest, give them a call.
Another possibility is to tour the neighborhood in which you would like to live and check the “FOR SALE” signs for the names of the REALTORS®. Some specialize in certain areas around the city and have extensive knowledge about your favorite areas.
Regardless of the REALTOR® you choose, it is a very good idea to work with your “guide” through the process.
And look for that REALTOR “®” on his or her lapel. It tells you that they subscribe to a code of ethics. And, that is a very good thing.
Actually, a REALTOR® is a bargain. They do not get paid unless there is a sale.
