Mead Eye4Art planned

Jenni Mcneish The Spokesman-Review

The Mead Education Foundation will host its first Eye4Art show on Saturday in the commons at Mt. Spokane High School.

The show will feature more than 200 art pieces from area artists as well as students and teachers from Mead School District, hors d’oeuvres, and live music provided by the Northwood Middle School Jazz Band, who took first place at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival.

Guests are encouraged to purchase paintings, sculptures, and jewelry as well as discuss works with the artists.

A portion of the sales will be donated to the Mead Education Foundation, a nonprofit group dedicated to providing scholarships to support Mead staff and students.

The show will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, or $25 for a family, and may be purchased by calling 465-6032. Tickets also will be available at the door.
