See ‘Lord of the Beans’ with family

Don’t just vegetate, go on a family date.

Opportunity Presbyterian Church is planning a Family Date Night on Friday. The night has a VeggieTales theme and begins at 6 with a pizza dinner followed by trivia games and a sing-along. A showing of the new VeggieTales movie “Lord of the Beans” begins at 7.

There is no charge for the event, though families are asked to call the church office at 924-9750 if they are planning to attend.

Also at Opportunity Presbyterian Church is today’s annual book sale. In addition to books, the church will be selling games, videos, CDs, puzzles and more. The sale is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The church is at 202 N. Pines Road.

Heavenly chimes

The DeColores Handbell Choir will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road. The concert is part of the church’s Music at Millwood concert series. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
