Lewiston takes third place
CALDWELL, Idaho – Bo Gregg, Shane Moser and Beau Blewett combined for 40 points Saturday as Lewiston defeated Mountain View 58-49 in the third-place game of the Idaho State 5A boys basketball tournament at Caldwell High.
Gregg, Moser and Blewett shot a combined 11 for 17 from the floor for the Bengals (23-2). Gregg added seven rebounds and three steals, and Andrew Packwood had a game-high eight rebounds.
Lewiston took control with a 24-10 first quarter.
State 4A
Paul Wimer, Shane Miller and Cody Line combined for 37 points and Brad Herrenbruck had 13 rebounds to lead Moscow (17-8) to a 57-53 win over Kuna in the third-place game at Albertson’s College.
Wimer finished 6 of 10 from the field for the Bears, who shot 52 percent from the floor in the second half.
Justin Roberts hit three 3-pointers and Anthony Williams had five assists for Moscow, which outscored Kuna 27-16 during the second and third quarters.
Luke Durrant scored 19 points on 7-for-20 shooting for the Kavemen (21-5).
