Riverside earned its first trip to the state tournament since 1989 after edging Chewelah 45-41 in double overtime Friday at Mead.

Caleb Watt hit a laup after a steal, and Cameron Craddock and Adam Anderson each hit a free throw in the second overtime to seal the win. The Rams (15-9) held Chewelah scoreless in the second overtime.
