Grabner goes 14th overall to Canucks
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Michael Grabner lived up to expectations in Saturday’s National Hockey League draft.
In fact, the Spokane Chiefs right winger exceeded them, being picked 14th by the host Vancouver Canucks.
Meanwhile, Erik Johnson (St. Louis) became the fifth American chosen first. Fellow Minnesota natives Kyle Okposo (New York Islanders) and Everett’s Peter Mueller (Phoenix) were also in the top 10.
No other Chiefs players were drafted.
