Marilyn Amato has been hired as a real estate agent in the downtown Spokane office of Century 21 Beutler & Associates.

Garco Building Systems has hired Brock Rasmussen as an estimator/project coordinator.

Jake Lerner has been hired as a medical sales representative at HollisterStier. His territory will include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Washington D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from James Madison University.

Susan Nielsen has been hired at Rockwood Clinic as corporate communications director. She previously worked as director of marketing and communications and public information officer at the Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing.

Integrus Architecture has hired Marci Combs as an office assistant.

Lena Septimo has been hired as stewardship coordinator at Inland Northwest Land Trust. She is also working towards a master’s degree at Washington State University’s Natural Resource Sciences Department.

Fulcrum Investments has hired Lisa Findlay as a financial representative. She previously worked at Hunter Financial.

PROMOTED

Sterling Hospitality has promoted Brendan Genther as general manager of the downtown Spokane Holiday Inn Express. He was previously the general manager of the Spokane Valley Holiday Inn Express.

Rusty Lawlar has been promoted to assurance senior associate in the Spokane office of BDO Seidman. He is a graduate of Weber State University and has been with the company since August 2004.

Sherry Wallis, the North Idaho College director of customized training, has received the “Takin’ Care of Business Volunteer of the Month Award” for May, 2006.

Scott Lukins, a founding partner at the law firm of Lukins & Annis, has been named a “Distinguished Alumni” by the University of Washington Law School. Lukins graduated from the school in 1954.

The following students from the North Idaho College chapter of Business Professionals of America earned honors at the BPA National Leadership Conference: Velda “Cindy” Kuhn, Morgan Purvis, Kelsey Bonds, Dawn Kushlan, Tim Hetzler, Chris Arnold, Robert Hoss, Danny Myers and Carmen Dawson.

Anne Larkin, a student at Moscow Junior High, has received a special achievement award at the Governor’s Conference on Recreation and Tourism. Larkin created a design for the state’s new science and technology license plate.

Richard Bartch has received the 2005 President’s Recognition Award from Ameriprise Financial Services. Bartch is a financial advisor for Ameriprise in Spokane.

Jo Lynne Seufer, a risk management specialist and outreach coordinator in the Spokane Regional office of the Risk Management Agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, has received a 2006 USDA Unsung Hero Award.

Stratford Building Corp. has completed its 1,000th modular structure at its Rathdrum, Idaho production facility.

GIFTS

Spokane Teachers Credit Union has granted $54,000 to the Eastern Washington University Foundation. The funds were used to purchase an L.E.D. message center for the campus.
