Biel wins Hangman amateur

The Toyota Series of Golf was in Spokane this weekend for the 37th annual Hangman Valley Amateur.

Aaron Biel won the championship flight low gross title with a 2-under-par 142 total over two rounds.

John Bergeman carded a 139 to finish first in championship flight low net.

Four players – Matt Melcher, Tom Maine, Torney Smith and Biel – qualified for the season-ending Sterling Savings Bank Shootout to be held Sept. 25 at The Highlands Golf Course.
