Seahawks’ Fisher arrested
KIRKLAND, Wash. – Seattle Seahawks defensive end Bryce Fisher was arrested and charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree assault following an incident with his wife inside their suburban home, a police report showed.
Police in Kirkland, the home of the team’s headquarters, filed a report April 11. It described an early-morning argument and altercation in which Fisher twisted his wife’s arm behind her back.
“This caused her pain since she had surgery on her right wrist in July 2005 to repair a torn tendon,” the report stated.
The report said the couple had been struggling for control of Fisher’s cell phone after his wife confronted him about allegations he was having an affair.
According to the report, the Fishers had been married for 18 months and have two daughters.
Messages left with Fisher’s agent, Peter Schaffer, were not returned Thursday.
Fisher is a 1999 Air Force Academy graduate. Last November, he was sworn into the Washington Air National Guard as a captain.
