Erma Agnes (Waggner) Volk is celebrating her 100th birthday today. She was born July 12, 1906, in Warren, Pa., and has been a resident of Spokane for the past 98 years.

Volk married George John Volk, in 1926. He died in 1973.

She worked as a stenographer from 1920 to 1930 and was a housewife in later years.

Volk contributes her long and healthy life to living an active life playing golf and being competitive. Her most thrilling moment was a hole-in-one.
