Bull injures two in Yelm rampage
YELM, Wash. – A loose bull went on a rampage Monday, attacking people and vehicles before police in this rural Thurston County community shot and killed it.
Two people were hurt, including an older man injured badly enough to be taken to a hospital, KING-TV reported. He apparently got trampled while chasing the animal.
The bull got loose about 4 p.m. near the Yelm Highway, southeast of Olympia.
“We were still dealing with the injured folks over there, plus we had people with cars in the street,” Thurston County sheriff’s Lt. Joseph Vukich said. “The bull started coming back toward the street, fixated on the Yelm officer, and when it charged him he shot it and dropped it.”
