Rockies 6, Giants 1: At Denver, Jeff Francis and three relievers combined on a four-hitter as Colorado moved into a tie for first place in the National League West with a victory over San Francisco.

Phillies 6, Padres 5: At Philadelphia, Aaron Rowand doubled in the ninth inning and the Phillies beat San Diego.
