Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medication Evaluation – The Medicine Shoppe, 1620 W. Rowan, is offering this “Brown Bag Day” July 12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Pharmacists will look over any prescription and over the counter drugs you are taking and will discuss possible drug interactions and answer questions. Alternative Therapies for ADHD – This forum will discuss the underlying causes of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and natural solutions, July 15 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Unity Center, 4123 E. Birthwise – This five-week course will discuss birthing options, the aspects of birth, labor and support. Pregnant women should start this class by the 30th week of pregnancy. Gentle Yoga Classes for Seniors – Presented by Earthshine Yoga, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-10 a.m. at the Southside Senior Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave., July 20-Aug. 24. Adult Children from Dysfunctional Families and Co-Dependents – How to grow out of these dysfunctional patterns in a 26-week program of group therapy and support with tools for the results you want. Adult Day Center – Holy Family Adult Day Centers offer structured programs designed to meet the needs of physically, mentally and functionally impaired adults and elderly by providing social services, nursing, rehabilitation, therapeutic recreation and a hot meal at noon.
