Spokane Valley City Council

6 p.m. Tuesday, Spokane Valley City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague. Study session will include deliberations on the land use map in the Comprehensive Plan.

Light Rail Steering Committee

2 p.m. Tuesday, Spokane Transit Authority Southside Conference Room, 1229 W. Boone Ave. The agenda includes an update on public involvement and reports from the project manager and various subcommittees.

Spokane County commissioners

9:30 a.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ conference room, Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave. The agenda includes a briefing about housing and community development.

2 p.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ hearing room, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave. The board will consider appointments to the county’s Housing and Community Development Advisory Committee, Water Conservancy Board, Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board and Community Services Substance Abuse Board.

6 p.m. Tuesday, Spokane County Fire District No. 4’s Station 42, 3219 E. Chattaroy Road. Joint meeting with Pend Oreille and Stevens county commissioners to consider watershed management plan.
