Ballet school schedules auditions

The Pacific Northwest Ballet School is holding auditions for its summer program on Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. at Ballet Arts Academy, 416 W. Sprague Ave.

The school is looking nationwide for 300 students ages 12 through 18 for its five-week course that will be held in Seattle this summer at the Phelps Center, July 10 though Aug. 11.

Dancers should dress in ballet-class attire and bring pointe shoes. Registration will begin 30 minutes before auditions start; the registration fee is $20.

Sandpoint artist Robert Bissett will be featured in the April 1 issue of Artisan Northwest magazine.

Bissett, a painter known for his faces and landscapes, is a featured artist at the Timber Stand Gallery in Sandpoint.

Play-Makers 2006 is presenting a playwriting workshop today from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, 15310 E. Indiana Ave.
