Pullman is Cougars’ home
In response to John Sonneland’s letter (Jan. 1, “Apple Cup should return to Spokane”), with all due respect Mr. Sonneland, are you crazy? In its prime Albi Stadium was a dump, and now the city of Spokane wants to get rid of it. It is not a place to play major college football.
Jim Walden finally got games returned to Pullman, where the Cougs have a great homefield advantage. As to Washington State being willing to travel: One game in Seattle is one too many, and two basketball games in Spokane and one in Seattle are wrong also.
Make them come to Pullman! Don’t penalize the players by playing “home games” off campus.
