Around the Pac-10

The Spokesman-Review

With the possible exception of hosting a postseason game, this week’s contests will be the last for USC in the Sports Arena, the much-maligned building stuck between the Coliseum and a freeway. “It’s an arena that has had its day,” Oregon coach Ernie Kent remarked, “and its day has passed.” USC moves into a new on-campus facility next season. … Kent said Ivan Johnson, who sat on the bench last week, will travel this week and be available. … USC sharpshooter Gabe Pruitt won’t be available this week but has resumed some drills after suffering a broken tibia earlier this season. … Pac-10 Player of the Year honors are undecided, but it appears that the race could come down to Washington’s Brandon Roy and Cal’s Leon Powe.
