AmeriCorps – needs a domestic violence outreach coordinator. Participants need have strong and outgoing communication skills, be able to develop, promote and lead education programs, as well as be educated in warning signs of domestic violence. Wishing Star Foundation – needs volunteers to assist the planning committee for the “Chocolate Cabaret and Chef Challenge,” a fund-raising event for the organization. Contact Jodi Herman at 744-3411 for more information.

St. Margaret’s Shelter – is looking for mature women to spend one to two hours a week for a year with a resident at the shelter preparing them to reenter the community. Must be 26 years of age or older, go through a background check, attend a code of conduct training course, and interview with the mentor coordinator. Fox Theatre – is looking for volunteers to conduct tours, and assist with research projects, the Fox Art Gallery, building preparation, renovation and construction. Training provided. For more information, contact Elizabeth Thompson at 326-3136.
