Westerberg, Sun Devils win

Emily Westerberg scored 20 points Friday night to lead No. 10 Arizona State to its seventh straight victory, 89-62 over Arizona in the Pac-10 opener for both teams.

Danielle Orsillo added 17 points for the Sun Devils (11-1). Joy Hollingsworth had 14 points for the Wildcats (6-7).

(5) Tennessee 75, Old Dominion 59: At Norfolk, Va., Candace Parker had 32 points to lead the Lady Vols (11-1) over the Lady Monarchs (3-7).

Sherida Triggs led the Lady Monarchs with 13 points.

(14) Stanford 68, UCLA 59: At Los Angeles, Jillian Harmon had 14 points and the Cardinal (7-3, 2-0 Pac-10) beat the Bruins (7-7, 1-1).

Noelle Quinn led UCLA with 18 points.

(15) California 62, USC 53: At Los Angeles, Ashley Walker had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and the Golden Bears (9-2, 1-1 Pac 10) defeated the Trojans (6-6, 0-2).

Eshaya Murphy led the Trojans with 17 points.

(20) Michigan St. 73, CS Northridge 69 (OT): At Los Angeles, Mia Johnson had 19 points to lead the Spartans (9-2) over the Matadors (3-9).

Ofa Tulikihihifo had 23 points for Northridge.
